The USCA is seeking sites to provide competitive athletes and other curlers with early training ice. We will be looking for locations that will provide the most convenient access to our competitive athletes. Funding (amounts to be determined) will be provided, based on ice availability from early September to October 31st (or normal opening date). Funding amount will vary according to the amount of time and number of sheets of ice available prior to October 31st. |

Joraanstad named Madison area Sportswoman of the Year |

2008 National Champion Nicole Joraanstad (Madison, Wis.) has been named the Madison Sports Hall of Fame Club's 2008 Sportswoman of the Year. She'll be honored at a reception and dinner on June 4 at the Monona Terrace Convention Center. Joraanstad, at the young age of 27, has already won five U.S. women's national titles and a silver medal at the 2006 World Championships. |
