USCA Coaching Certification Levels Registered Coach * Read and understand Coaching Code of Conduct * Pass Coaching Code of Conduct test * Register name, address, and e-mail with the USCA office * submit a plan for the current year for your team * pass a background check Website and code available from Bev at the USCA office Note: A coach must be registered to participate in the 2009-2010 season playdowns Level 1 Coach * Attend a Level I instructor course and pass the test *Attend a level II instructor course and pass the test * Take the Positive Coaching Alliance -Double Goal Course http://www.positivecoach.org (Cost is $25.00) *Successfully complete First-Aid for coaches training course https://www.redcrossonlinetraining.org (cost is $45.00) * Use coaching skills with a team or individual Level 2: * Assist at a USCA curling camp and give at least one presentation on at least one of the following: delivery, sweeping or strategy * Coach a team for one curling season * Pass videotape delivery analysis test * Sign USCA Coach Code of Conduct and Coaches Agreement * Complete Level I officiating course * Become a certified Level I coach Level 3: Work with team having state or national goals (within last four years) * Instruct at USCA curling camp or coaching clinic and give presentations on each of the following: delivery, sweeping and strategy * Coach at two international competitive events or at a national championship leading to a world championship (does not include a player/coach position) * Certified Level 2 coach. Enclose a short resume on coaching experience Level 4: * Certified Level 3 coach * Attend a continuing education class on coaching every four years * Work with team having state/national goals (within last four years) * Instruct at a USCA curling camp or coaching clinic and be able to give presentations on each of the following: delivery, sweeping and strategy * Coach at world championship (does not include a player/coach position).
