Formats for the Men's & Women's Challenge Rounds for the 2013 National Championships:

Men's Challenge Round
Jan. 2-6, 2013*, Hibbing, Minn.

*Start and finish dates subject to change depending on the number of entries (accordion in nature)
a) No regional qualifiers will be played

b)  Two teams from the 2012-13 USCA National Team Program receive direct berths to the 2013 National Championships, as selected by the High Performance Director and Advisory Group. The teams selected for 2013 are skipped by Heath McCormick and Pete Fenson. The top two OOM teams also earn direct berths to the Nationals.

c) The remaining 6 teams for the 2013 National Championships will be determined at a single event - the Challenge Round.  

d) The Challenge Round will be a triple knockout event.

Women's Challenge Round
Jan. 16-20*, Seattle

*Start and finish dates subject to change depending on the number of entries (accordion in nature)

a) No regional qualifiers will be played

b) Two teams from the 2012-13 USCA National Team Program receive direct berths to the 2013 National Championships, as selected by the High Performance Director and Advisory Group. The teams selected for 2013 are skipped by Allison Pottinger and Cassie Potter. The top two OOM teams also earn direct berths to the Nationals

c) The remaining 6 teams for the 2013 National Championships will be determined at a single event - the Challenge Round.  

d) The Challenge Round will be a peer-seeded triple knockout event.

e) Six teams will qualify from the Challenge Round into the 2013 National Championships based on order of finish.

f) If there are ten or less teams signed up for qualifiers, then all teams advance to the National Championship and the Challenge Round will be cancelled.
