About Maureen Stolt:

Curling start: My dad introduced me to curling. I viewed curling as a coming of age in my family as my grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins and uncle all curl(ed).

Favorite athlete growing up: Elvis Stojko

Pre-game rituals/superstitions: I normally put my left shoe on before my right shoe

Favorite sport other than curling: Hockey

What do you wish you were better at? Relaxing

What is your earliest curling memory: The first time i tried curling was during Wednesday afternoon activities at school where students got to choose what activity they wanted to do. I kept hitting my knee on the ice during my delivery and the curling coach came up to me and said: "Next time you should stay at school and work on the school newspaper."
