USCA leaders affirm performance program responsibilities
The USCA Executive committee has affirmed a Board of Directors resolution from 2010 delegating authority and responsibility to staff for development and implementation of a High Performance Plan, and has taken further steps to clarify what exactly this means. Details.
 
Project 2018 applications for 2013-14 season being accepted

USA Curling is now accepting applications for Project 2018 for the 2013-14 season. Applications are due June 7, 2013.

The USA Curling High Performance Junior Developmental Camp is scheduled for Sept. 13-15, at the Four Seasons Curling Club in Blaine, Minn. The camp is open to junior teams that have strong potential to be successful at the national level. The camp will begin at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13. Applications for the camp will be available soon. National champs Brown, Clark named top athletes for 2013; Brown rink top team
Reigning national champions Erika Brown (Oakville, Ontario) and Brady Clark (Lynnwood, Wash.) have been named USA Curling's top athletes for 2013. In addition, Brown's team is 2013 Team of the Year. Press release.
 
Final field for 2014 U.S. Olympic Team Trials announced

The final field for the 2014 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling has now been determined.

 

USA Curling's High Performance Selection Committee has selected the John Shuster rink as the final men's team to bring the field to five. That team includes 2010 Olympian Jeff Isaacson (Gilbert, Minn.), Jared Zezel (Duluth, Minn.), and John Landsteiner (Duluth, Minn.).

 

The Courtney George rink has been selected as the final women's team for the Trials. The team includes George (St. Paul, Minn.), Aileen Sormunen (Duluth, Minn.), Amanda McLean (Duluth, Minn.), and Monica Walker (Brighton, Mass.), who has replaced Julie Lilla.
