USA Curling High Performance Program announcement

U.S. National Championships 2013 – High Performance Program (HPP) decision.

 

In keeping with the USCA’s High Performance Program goals of building toward long-term sustained competitive success, two men’s and two women’s teams from within the 2012-13 High Performance Program will receive byes into the 2013 USCA National Championships. This decision was made by USCA Director of High Performance Derek Brown after considerable discussion and feedback from a number of athletes, Athletes Advisory Council members, coaches, and USCA board members.
Both the Men’s and Women’s National Championships will have 10 spots available as follows:
•    2 High Performance Program teams
•    2 Order of Merit teams
•    6 open qualification teams
The High Performance Program teams will be confirmed in early June 2012, after the HPP advisory group has made the selections and team invitations for the 2012-13 season.

 
Applications for Project 2018 Program now being accepted
Applications are now being accepted for USA Curling’s Project 2018 Program, aimed at identifying and developing USA’s best young talent for future competitive curling success. The Project 2018 Program is part of the 2012-13 High Performance Plan aimed at identifying and developing the USA’s best young talent for future competitive success. Subject to funding, the Program will support up to 4 junior teams (athletes eligible for the 2012-13 USA Curling Junior National Championships) and up to 8 individual athletes under the age of 27 (born on or after Jan. 1, 1985). Bucks County Junior Camp announced
Bucks County Curling Club in Warminster, PA, will host the 15th Annual Summer Junior Curling Camp Aug. 2-5. Download the camp information here.
 
Register now for Green Bay summer camp

Registration is now open for the 24th Annual Junior Curling Camp in Green Bay this summer. The camp will take place July 22-24 at Cornerstone Community Ice Arena, which will be the host arena for the 2013 USA Curling National Championships. The camp will feature a beginner/intermediate track as well as an elite track.
