History: The club is one of the newest members of the Grand National Curling Club, joining in the summer of 2002. The club was formed by a group of interested people and a few experienced curlers. Play officially began in October 2002. Prior to the club forming, there was no history of curling in the Pittsburgh area, according to Purvis Jr.
Number of sheets of ice: Three on arena; can expand to five.
Number of members: 20. The club held an open house
and instruction clinic in October 2002, which drew 60 attendees.
How often can members curl? Weekly.
Types of programs: Currently the club has a schedule of 26 weekly curling sessions. All programs are open format.
