Curling start: "I've been told that I got my start in curling when I was a baby and my parents used o set me on the curling stones and throw me down the ice."

Curling goals: "My goal in curling is to have at least one year where I skip a team that makes it to the final four."

Career goals: "I'd like to be a pharmacist."

Training: "To prepare for competitions in curling, I try to go to as many curling camps as I can during the summer to keep my game sharp in off season. Once we get ice in at our club I practice four times a week and curl in three leagues."

Curling strength: "My biggest strength in curling is my confidence in being able to do anything I put my mind to."

Other sports: Soccer, rugby, jogging, tennis, bocce ball

What he enjoys most about curling: "It's the only sport where being short, chubby and white doesn't exclude me from being the best."
