About Mike Fraboni:

Stan has been a member of the Madison Curling Club since 1981. He enjoys both competitive and social curling.

In his own words: "Curling is a game, not an occupation. Keep curling a fun sport to be enjoyed by all who participate. Curling has given me years of enjoyment and accomplishment. My most notable achievement in curling was winning the 2002 World Senior Men's Gold Medal."

Other sports: Golf

Favorites: "Winning is a lot more fun than losing." "Two eight-enders -- one of which was in a mixed bonspiel."

Can't live without: "My wife, children and grandchildren." "I like to eat at least four meals a day."

Good luck charm: "None, although luck is usually a factor in winning games."

Heroes: "My wife, Jesus Christ and Brett Favre."

Before every game: "Stretch to loosen joints. Chat with teammates.

What I want to tell the world about curling: "Curling is a sport for all ages. It can be learned quickly and enjoyed by players regardless of their skill level. Curling is a game that encourages respect and courtesy for your teammates and opponents."

Training: "Practice my delivery one to two times per week; games twice a week; exercise and stretching for leg strength and to avoid back and knee injuries."

More words: "I find curling the only thing good about winter. Golf is my favorite sport. Mixed curling bonspiels are a blast and probably the greatest test of patience."
