Curling start: "By watching my parents (Butch and Bonnie) and uncle and aunt (Glen and Donna Isaacson) in mixed curling. I started by keeping their shooting percentages for each and every game I watched and later telling them what they did wrong and what they could have done better (in my 10-year-old opinion as they have told me).

Curling family: Both of his parents curl.

Training regimen: "To be physically fit year around. No particular training specific to curling."

Career goals: "To stay employed long enough (happily) to retire."

Travel: Shawn has traveled to Scotland, Germany, Hong Kong and mainland China. 

What he enjoys most about curling: "To be successful in curling you have to be on the top of your 'physical and mental game.'"
