Curling start: "I got started in curling as a result of playing bocce at lunchtime with a colleague at work who was a curler. On the basis of my skill at bocce, he convinced me to start curling and join his men's competitive team."
In his own words: "I met my wife on the ice in Brookline, Mass., curling with the Canadian Club of Boston. She had been a junior curler at Ardsley, N.Y."
What he enjoys about curling: "I enjoy both the fun and satisfaction of playing in competitive games, and spending time with the family of curlers who have become my good friends."

Goals in curling: "To continue competitive curling as long as I can give the other guy a good game, and when I can't, to become a coach."
Training regimen: "I practice two or three times a week and swim every day."
