About Paul Pustovar:

Curls out of: Hibbing Curling Club, Hibbing, Minn.

Training: "Training is extremely important for our team, and in the off-season I train by riding a bicycle 15 miles a day."

Hobbies: "My main hobby revolves around bicycling. I am a certified tour guide for American Youth Hostels located in Washington, D.C. I have led two American bicycle tours for AYH, eight European bicycle tours, one hiking tour in Ireland, and a bicycle tour of China and Hong Kong."

Education: Paul earned a bachelor's of science degree in education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, in 1973, and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Mankato State University in 1976. After college, he taught biology at the Hibbing (Minn.) Community College for six years. During that same time he created and taught a one-credit curling class at the college.

Something unique: Along with playing the game for over four decades now, Paul has also instructed and coached many curlers along the way. He even developed a one-credit college curling course while teaching at Hibbing Community College. In 1979, Paul coached the Minnesota Junior men's State Champions into the Junior Nationals. He also coached a Minnesota women's team in two national championship competitions.

Certifications: Paul is a certified Level II instructor and Level II coach.
