In her own words: "I have always lived a very active life. I had my accident skiing this past April in Reno, Nevada. Just fell on my back. Didn't hit anyone or anything. It left me complete at t-7."

"I am very fortunate for my family support during these trying times. My sister from Florida, my brother from Texas and parents from Digby, Nova Scotia have been wonderful."

Past curling experience: "I had watched curling on TV as I lived on the border of St. Stephen, Canada, in my high school years."

An unusual fact: "I have traveled every two years before high school, to Thailand, England, the Phillippines, Brazil and the United States."

Other activities with disabled adults: "Curling is the first activity that I have pursued with other disabled adults and I am enjoying it very much.

Hobbies: "I am active in my local Baptist church and enjoy outdoor activities reading, cooking and helping others."
