PERSONAL FILE
How did you get involved in curling? "My parents curled. My father curled competitively, and my mother ran the junior program in Centerville (Wis.), where I grew up.
What do you enjoy most about curling? "Curling is the greatest combination of all sports. You stay active and you have to be physically agile in order to be on top of your game. I love that you need to have great strategy to be able to compete at a high level. You need to be three steps ahead of every shot and consider all the possible outcomes. That's why I enjoy curling."
Do others in your family curl? "Everyone in my family curls or has curled."
What other sports do you enjoy? Running
What are your goals in curling? "I want to play well as a team and execute our game plan together. I want to have some great games in Italy and win if we deserve to."
Training regimen: Drills, practice games. "I always try to end practice with three draws to the four foot."
What are your particular strengths in curling? "I love to plan the game, and I am very patient when to plan my team's move. I love audiences in curling ... it's more fun to play for a crowd."
What are your hobbies? "Horseback riding, dancing and playing board games."
What would someone find unique about you? "I always sing when I curl."
