PERSONAL FILE
Best curling highlights: "Curling in a summer bonspiel in Portland with my father, mother and brother. Can't remember how we did, but we had a great time. There aren't too many sports where you can do this. I also watched Brady get his eight-ender -- he really got one!"
Curling start: "My dad introduced me to curling when I was 18, and I played with him and my uncles for several years. We played on skating ice in Portland, Ore. What hooked me on curling were the road trips to bonspiels in Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia."
What do you enjoy most about the sport? "The competitive nature of the game and the opportunity to play against and compete with some of the best teams in the world. Curling also provides an opportunity to meet people from all over the world and develop long-term friendships."
Other sports: "I also enjoy softball, golf and fishing."
Something unique: "I have ridden in a hot-air balloon, parachuted out of an airplane and taken a glass blowing class."
