Curls out of: Bemidji Curling Club

In her own words: "I guess you could say that I was born to curl.  My parents got me involved in curling when I was really young.  Just after I was born, they placed me in their shiny, punch bowl-like Mixed Nationals trophy, which they had won when my mom was five months pregnant with me.  My parents have been to countless competitions in the nation and world; they're what I would call experts.  They got me hooked on the game, and now I am glad they got me into it. It's such an addicting game. I got my boyfriend (now fiance) involved in it as well, and he proudly won his first state championship last season."

Favorites: "I play tennis with my friends and my sister over the summer just for the fun of it, along with the ritual of retreating to Dairy Queen afterwards. I also LOVE to fish. My grandma and grandpa have a cabin in Canada where we go fishing on the Lake of the Woods.  We have many fishing and boating stories about our experiences - some funny and some scary."

Other favorite sports/hobbies: Tennis, fishing, traveling, cars

Favorite food: "My favorite food would have to be spaghetti, plus you could say that I am addicted to eating strawberries, too."

Favorite music: "My favorite music would have to be rock, but I listen to a lot of other types of music also.  My favorite band would have to be the Dave Matthews Band."

About Bemidji: "Born and raised in Bemidji, Minnesota all my life (not a bad thing, but the winters are terrible)."

Smartest player in curling: "Cassie Johnson."

Cartoon character that best represents her personality: Betty from the Archies comics

Favorite athletes to watch: Guy Hemmings, Cal Ripken Jr.

Other Olympic sport she'd like to try: Rowing
