About Donna Pearson:

Curls out of: Grand Forks Curling Club

Curling start: "Having moved from the South, one of my colleagues from the University asked if I was interested in curling (like I knew what that was all about) and would I come down to the curling club and try out a new winter sport. Intrigued as to why someone would slide a 42-pound rock down a sheet of ice onto a bulls-eye in a deliberately cold room... I agreed. Needless to say, I was captivated by the grace, skill, and finesse that this new sport required."

Favorite aspect of curling: Strategy

Curling goals: "Develop the needed skills to be a proficient curler and gain a greater understanding of the strategies involved in this sport."

Hobbies: Photography, travel, reading, music, sports

If she won a millions dollars, she would: "Share."

Favorite place to travel: Europe

Something unique: Her southern accent
