About Chia-Hua Ku:

Curls out of: Madison Curling Club

Curling start: "I joined the Madison Curling Club in 2000, the first year when I was in Madison. Hiro, Li-Lin’s husband, invited me to have a dinner and he would like to introduce me a winter sport called curling. Growing up in Taiwan, a subtropical region, I did not know much about winter sports. Well, since there was a free diner, why not! Because of that free dinner, curling came into my life and helped me go through every long chilly winter in Wisconsin."

What she enjoys most about curling: "Friendships. I like to play curling with good friends. I am very lucky to have wonderful teammates. I enjoy the atmospheres of sisterhoods."

Curling goals: "Introduce curling to the people in my country, Taiwan."

Curling strengths: "Always try to be optimistic."

Hobbies: Traveling, knitting, collecting curling pins and reading
