Early curling years: "I started curling in 1989 after my fourth grade teacher, Claude Spicer, convinced me to give curling a try."

What do you enjoy most about curling? "I enjoy curling with my wife, traveling, discussing strategy and competing."

Other sports: Softball, football, basketball

Do others in your family curl? "My wife is a highly competitive curler and we practice together almost every day. My dad and mom both curl recreationally."

Curling goals: "A gold medal in the men's worlds and Olympics. Cristin and I would also like to help develop a World Mixed Championship, and then we would love to win a gold medal."
