CURLING HIGHLIGHTS
PERSONAL FILE
Curls out of: Chicago Curling Club
Curling start: "I threw my first stones on outdoor natural ice at Exmoor Country Club while in grade school -- around 1950. My parents curled at Emoor CC and Chicago CC. My wife and three children curl. The beauty of the game is that you can curl with all age groups, social strata, and gender. It is about the last sport that is not an 'In your face' endeavor. You can curl socially and/or competitively. When curling socially, the sitting around after the games enjoying each other's company is as enjoyable as the curling itself. The most enjoyable part of curling for me has been curling with my family -- sons in the men's and mixed with my wife, son and daughter-in-law."
Hobbies: Playing with his grandchildren, sailing, gardening, biking, hiking, skiing, traveling.
