About Ben Weigelt:

Curls out of: Grand Forks Curling Club and Thief River Falls Curling Club

Curling start: "My dad would take me out to the club on league nights in Thief River and I eventually started to sub and was instantly hooked."

What he enjoys most about curling: "I enjoy the strategy of the game the most. It's also fun to see how easy so many people think the game is until they try it."

Curling family: My dad used to curl quite a bit but now is just a fan ... a pretty intense fan I might add."

Other sports: "I coach baseball in the summer. I would have to say baseball is my true love. I love golf. Too bad I'm not any good at it."

Curling goals: The same goal as competitive curlers my age -- the Olympics."

Curling strengths: "Being relaxed most of the time. No matter how bad something can get I can always seem to stay relaxed. As for strengths, probably strategy but I still have a lot to learn about this game."

Curling idols: Jim Barry/Jeff Liden -- the axis of evil
