About Amanda Jensen:

Curls out of: Duluth Curling Club

Something unique: "A weird, but funny, thing that happened to me while curling was during the 2001 state playdowns. My team was practicing right before the game and Cassie Johnson's team was watching us practice. I went to get a rock and tried to stop myself from sliding but I ended up falling on all eight of the rocks. I've never seen a bruise so big."

About the team: "I love my curling team so much, and I wouldn't trade them for the world. We're so weird and superstitious. Aileen and I were both born on a Friday the 13th under a full moon and are both left-handed yet we curl right-handed. We have a 'connection.' I love the good nights in the hotel room with the girls. Our team has the best coach in the world, Cyndee Johnson. She's there through thick and thin, and we love her more than she knows."

Curling start: "I got started in curling through my dad at an open house at the Duluth Curling Club. That year I joined the Duluth Junior Program where I met and curled with Amanda McLean. The following year I started curing with my current playdown team."

What she loves most about curling: "I really enjoy the social aspect of curling and meeting so many new people. I have also got to travel to so many new places, which is so much fun."
