Curling start: "My parents got me started in curling. They are founding members of the Bowling Green Curling Club."
In his own words: "I enjoy the people that I meet curling. After all it is a sport that anyone can play."
Family of curlers: "My whole family curls. My mom and dad won Mixed Nationals in 1981 and my sister also has represented the Great Lakes."
Other sports: Golf and softball
Curling strength: "I have been told that sweeping is one of my strong points."
Curling goal: "Win a U.S. national, world & Olympic title would be just fine with me. It would be even better if I could do it with the three guys I am curling with now -- they are like family to me."
Something unique: "My friends seem to think that I have my very own vocabulary; they call this 'Hossisms.'"
Offbeat experience: "Just look at the guys I curl with -- there isn't enough paper or we really can't mention them."
