Annual Members Meeting

Minutes

Anderson called the meeting to order at 1:12pm.

1. Welcome, introductions
Anderson deferred welcomes to the directors meeting.

2. Roll call
Higgins announced that all member Regions were represented in person or by proxy, except the "at large" curling clubs Kansas City and Houston.

3. Appoint parliamentarian
Anderson appointed Denis Fox as meeting parliamentarian.

4. Approve minutes of last members meeting
A motion to accept the minutes of the 2000 Members Meeting was seconded and approved.

5. Certification of votes and proxies
Higgins announced proxies and vote count by region.

6. Admission, suspension or removal of new members
Higgins announced there were no actions to be taken regarding membership status.

7. Secretary's report; member- and affiliate-elected directors
Higgins reported the list of directors elected by their member regions, and directors representing USCA affiliates, which will be listed in the 2002 USCA Directory and on the USCA web site.

8. National Championship Host Committee report
D. Brown reported that host Madison Curling Club volunteers had a great time all week at the Men’s and Women’s Championship. All functions were held at the club, with a casual atmosphere. Players and fans enjoyed excellent hospitality. Profit estimate is $23,000. There were about 45,000 "hits" on the event web site. Anderson commended the nationals hosts for outstanding 2001 events held at the Rochester, Chicago, Rice Lake, Duluth and Utica Curling Clubs.

9. New or unfinished business
Anderson reported there was no new or unfinished business.

10. Adjourn
Anderson recessed the meeting until Sunday in case action by the members was needed. The meeting was adjourned without further action on Sunday at 12:58.
