Championship Draws

USCA Draw Principles:

  • Round Robin whenever possible; seeding recommended.
  • Seeding required for knockout formats.
  • No team can be eliminated without a game.
  • No back-to-back sheet assignments.
  • No back-to-back games in regular play.
  • All draws will be seed-ready, with higher seeds playing lower seeds early. Events can assign teams randomly to numbers or use peer seeding to seed the event. Peer seeding is recommended.
  • Minimize 3-game days during regular play.
  • Equitable sheet assignments.
  • Even hammer distribution by lot in round robin events.
  • Hammer and choice of rocks will be given to the higher-ranked team in post round robin play.
  • Rankings by Record, Head-to-Head, then shootout.
  • Call the USCA office, 1-888-287-5377, with questions regarding draws.
