CERTIFICATIONS STANDARDS

  LEVEL II: ON-ICE AND TIMING SUPERVISORS AND HOG-LINE OFFICIALS

 

  Technical:

 

1.                  Attend a USCA Level II officiating course.

            2.                  Be certified as a Level I official.

             3.                  Take the Level II exam on rules and procedures (passing grade 70%)

 

Practical:

 

1.                  Act as an on-ice supervisor, timing supervisor or hog-line official in a total of at least six (6) draws at the district, state, regional or national level.  An official must serve at least two (2) times in each capacity (on-ice supervisor, timing supervisor and hog-line official).

2.                  Submit practical experience records, signed by the supervising head officials for credit towards certification.

3.         Submit written evaluations from head officials under which the applicant

served.

 

 

Certification: A Certified Level II Official bar will be issued to the successful applicant.  The certified official’s name will be noted in the officials database as one who may be appointed to act as a head official at the discretion of the Rules & Officiating Committee and may apprentice for Level III Certification.

 

The Rules & Officiating Committee bases further advancement to Level III on continued experience and evaluation.
