CBS College Sports Network to air 2008 Men's World Curling Championship
highlights show
(STEVENS POINT, Wis.) - CBS College Sports Network will broadcast a special,
two-hour program on the 2008 World Men's Curling Championship on Thursday, May 1
at 8 p.m. ET.
The show, packaged by Carr-Hughes Productions of Lake Placid, N.Y., will feature
highlights from the championships taking place April 5-13 at the Ralph Engelstad
Arena in Grand Forks, N.D. Twelve countries will vie for the world championship
title, including the USA's Craig Brown rink of Madison, Wis.
Andrew Catalon and Bill Morehouse will provide play-by-play and color commentary
for the program, which will feature highlights from the playoffs as well as the
gold-medal game.
The sport of curling has grown to almost 16,000 curlers nationwide with new
curling clubs forming most recently in Indianapolis; Bozeman, Mont.; Panorama
City, Calif.; and Rutland, Vt.
CBS College Sports Network is available across the country through local cable
operators and via satellite on DIRECTV channel 610 and Dish Network channel 152.
USA Curling is sponsored by AIT Worldwide Logistics, AmerAust Technologies and
Nike as well as by AT&T through a joint marketing program with the U.S. Olympic
Committee.
